Bright Med Live Webinar — Thursday 26 February, 7:00pm (2 hours)
CPD Accredited!
Bright Med is launching its very first live webinar: Lipids & Blood: Managing Systemic Complications—a 2-hour interactive session built for busy dermatology healthcare professionals and GPs with an extended role who are navigating increasingly complex systemic monitoring in the era of modern therapeutics.
Unexpectedly raised lipids and deranged blood counts can quickly turn routine follow-up into uncertainty: How urgent is this? What needs repeating? What should I stop, start, or monitor? When is specialist input essential? This webinar is designed to give you a clear, safe, and practical approach you can apply immediately.
What you’ll learn
You’ll gain clinic-ready guidance on:
· Structured risk assessment for abnormal lipid and blood results
· Immediate actions and sensible next steps (including what to prioritise and what can wait)
· When to refer and how to communicate effectively with specialist services
· A repeatable framework for real-world cases where results, comorbidities, and therapies collide
Two specialists, one session
Join Dr John Wong (Consultant Lipidologist) and Dr Stefania Bonetto (Consultant Haematologist) for two highly practical talks—followed by a dedicated Q&A where you can bring your questions directly to both specialists in the same room. This kind of cross-specialty discussion simply doesn’t happen often, and it’s designed to help you build confidence at the interface between dermatology and systemic medicine.
Meet the speakers
Dr John Wong is a Consultant in Clinical Biochemistry and Lipidology, with expertise in lipid management and cardiovascular risk assessment, and involvement in lipid services, teaching, and publications in lipidology.
Dr Stefania Bonetto is a Consultant Haematologist, with extensive experience in oncological disease—supporting safe, pragmatic decision-making when blood counts are unexpectedly deranged.
Practical take-home tool
All attendees will receive a practical PDF tool to support day-to-day decision-making in clinic, helping you move from uncertainty to a consistent and safe approach.
Come for the clarity, stay for the confidence: you’ll leave with a sharper framework for managing real-world cases safely and decisively.
