The Flare Games
A Competitive Learning Day for Dermatology MDTs
Dermatology is rarely straightforward, and the toughest cases are the ones that stay with you. The Flare Games brings multi-disciplinary teams together for a day of competitive learning, testing how you and your colleagues navigate complex, real-world scenarios in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and hidradenitis suppurativa.
Participants are grouped into multi-disciplinary teams, each representing a district, competing throughout the day. Expert-led lectures on the changing treatment landscape are followed by team challenges built around genuinely difficult cases, with a feedback lecture after each one to unpack the reasoning and the pitfalls. Points are scored across all three conditions, and the day closes with the champion district announced.
Speakers include Dr Kave Shams (Consultant Dermatologist, Leeds Teaching Hospitals), Tom King (Consultant Dermatologist, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals) and Hannah Wainman (Consultant Dermatologist, University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust), chaired by Alberto Barea, founder of Bright Med and Nurse Consultant at Kingston Hospital.
Who it's for: dermatology nurses, GPs, pharmacists and allied health professionals working in multi-disciplinary inflammatory skin disease teams.
